I begin the process with an interview that covers various aspects of your home, lifestyle and needs; and invite everyone to give their input.
This same process is used whether you wish to just refresh the look of a room or plan on doing an extensive remodel. I can work with any contractor or architect, choose finishes, review space planning, or just bring in a painter or handyman to give a room a little makeover.

This Laguna Beach cottage is a 2 story house that we completely gutted, only the exterior walls were left standing. jnewton-design did the space planning, selected all the finishes, and chose and purchased all the furnishings. The picture is labeled to show that an interesting cohesive look can be achieved by using a mix of hi-end custom and budget friendly finds.
