I have a passion for color, texture, wood, and plants!
For 25 years I worked in the wholesale nursery industry. The family business was a wholesale grower & distributor of container plants that shipped throughout the western United States. At our peak we had 7 growing grounds with 1000 employees. I ran operations & human resources for the company. I thoroughly enjoyed working with my family and really loved our product. Following the sale of the business, my sister & I started a furniture manufacturing business which specialized in Murphy DeskBeds, Murphy Beds & cabinets. The Murphy DeskBed was a really cool, sleek, functional product. We were very hands on, doing much of the work ourselves, for 5 years. However, our families needed us at home …
I have an awesome, successful, handsome husband that supports me in my endeavors. I also have 4 great children. The oldest, a girl, has both her bachelors & masters from American University in Washington DC. She is married and gainfully employed and has my first grandbaby. Then I have 3 boys. One played baseball at Auburn University and has applied to law school. The next played baseball at University of Illinois, Chicago, is working in Chicago and plans to go to graduate school in the fall. The third attends University of Wisconsin, Madison. They are wonderful, strong, ambitious boys. I am proud of my children and their achievements.
As I focus on the future, I see that I have a sense for mixing colors & textures and being able to visualize how things will come together in a space. I have a knack for finding value items and mixing them with higher end items. I hope to bring some of my ideas to your space, interior or exterior!
